Notes:

Nahum 1:1-8 The wrath of God was declared as a result of their sins

Jonah (earlier) saw God’s wrath relent because of their repentance

1) God’s Wrath is to justly punish the wicked and is executed for that end.
If there is repentance, then His wrath is quenched. (Nineveh and in Christ)

2) The second coming is “at hand” but the date is known only to God the Father (Mark 13:32,33)

3) The Second coming will be marked by universal destruction 2 Peter 3:7-12, Mat 24:29-31

4) This event will be preceeded by 4 judgments upon creation

5) The 5^th & 6^th “woes” will be upon the unsaved - The saved will be preserved but experience them (Rev 9:4)

6) The unsaved world will refuse to repent as Nineveh did. (Rev 9:20,21)
a) The extend of their wickedness will be seen
b) Their hatred towards God will be seen (psalm 2)
c) They lose their last chance
