"I came to Open Bible Fellowship when a friend whom I had met at Queen's Campus for Christ invited me to join her on the school bus ride to the church. The OBF congregation is largely made up of students, and as a student I really appreciate the bus ministry and also my small group, which has become a circle of some of my closest friends. The Gospel message is clearly and boldly preached each Sunday in a down-to-earth way so that no matter where you are in your walk with the Lord or your run from Him, you receive the message of hope. The purpose of OBF is to glorify God in the name of Jesus Christ in all things we do, and I witnessed that when I was accepted as I was when I visited on that very first Sunday. If you are a student new to the Kingston area, or even if you've been around for awhile or aren't a student at all, I encourage you to come and visit OBF. I came to OBF on the recommendation of a friend and was immediately welcomed into the family. The people at OBF truly exemplify Christ's love, care and compassion for others and work diligently to encourage and support every member of the congregation in their individual walk with the Lord. Because of the high porportion of students at OBF, the church is committed helping young adults develop, share and stregthen their love for Christ while providing a fostering atmosphere to those living away from home. OBF has become a central component of my christian journey and I am so thankful for the positive and honest input it has had in my life.

Open Bible Fellowship is a great place for students to grow as Christians. A friend at Queen’s University told me about it and after attending it once, I’ve never left. OBF is not a big church so you get the chance to know people and have meaningful relationships with other godly people. It becomes more than just a place to go on Sunday mornings. It truly is a home church. Some of the most awesome people I know go to OBF and show me each week how to be a witness for Christ in their daily lives. Students make up the majority of the congregation so it’s easy to find someone facing the same issues as you might be and there’s always some to pray or talk with. I personally like OBF because it doesn’t take God or His role in our lives lightly. Going there has helped me grow and behave more like Christ so that He can me to serve in ways which I would never have thought possible. The Bible is preached with power and it can convict your heart and shape your life.
